A local fish monger is very important whether you live on the coast or in the City, and Kyle’s is the best one around. He is located on the north side of St Augustine on US 1 in a small plaza. They have the freshest fish, homemade chowder and sandwiches. You need your shrimp peeled; they can do that as well. I’m gluten intolerant and Kyle’s homemade soups and chowders are usually gluten-free, just ask.
The service is almost as good as the fish they are selling. When you go in, be sure to ask for the smoked salmon or mullet when in season, they do it in-house; it is the best flavored smoked salmon I have ever had. If you love seafood, you will love Kyle’s.
